James Clothing Closet

This program provides clothing for newborn to high school age children in need. James Clothing Closet is a ministry sponsored by Cutting Edge Ministries. Some items are purchased at discounted prices and others are donated from the community. All items are distributed free of charge.

Location: 32 East Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740

Hours of operation: Temporarily Closed as of 1/16

                        Eligibility

Family must provide one of the following: Food Bank Card, Medical Assistance Card or Proof of Family Emergency need (other financial situations not listed above)

Children under the age of 18 must be living with applicant

Proper identification (Drivers License, Identification Card, School Identification Card, Report Card

All children must be accompanied by legal guardian, school counselor or Department of Social Services Advocate

                   Guidelines For Visit

Each child is limited to one visit every six months totaling two visits per year which starts with first visit

Each child is eligible to receive the following items per visit:

                    2 tops/shirts

                    2 pairs of pants/shorts       

                    5 pair of socks if available

                    5 pair of under garments if available

                    1 pair of shoes if available

                    1 jacket or sweatshirt if available

Children are required to try on clothing

We operate on donations so we cannot guarantee the availability

Members of Cutting Edge Ministries fitting the qualifications are asked to volunteer two hours in the preparation department of the ministry.
